Following the leader

Simon is a hoot! He is just so happy to be a part of anything. He especially loves to be doing whatever Sydney is doing. Yesterday after a bit of fighting I finally had Sydney go in her room (which is Simon's too) and shut the door so she could play trains without interruption. Si was SO bummed.

In DC, this was no exception. At the Natural History Museum he wanted to climb right into the rock Sydney had found her way into.


He too wanted to ride a horse on the carousel--this will rank as one of my favorite DC memories (riding along with both of my kids).


And, you could never let Syd out of the stroller to run around without Simon getting out too. They loved all of the flags at the Washington Monumnet.

Lastly, you will see at Hains Point, while running through the grass, Sydney did not want Simon to be left out and was trying desperately to attach her ribbon to his head. Maybe Simon's desire to to all she does is actually him just following her orders (she can be bossy).


Things seem to be working out just famously for these two. They are enjoying each other so much--I am SO blessed!
