Yeah, so there will be no pictures to accompany this post. The Canon PowerShot purchased after Sydney's birth has decided it's tapping out. It's kind of a bummer since this week Sydney started preschool. I managed to snap a picture with my cell phone--weee! She is having a blast and on the first day her teacher predicted that she and one other little girl will "rule the school." When I picked her up her teacher said, "it's like she's been here for five years. I can't believe you were thinking of only sending her two days a week." I was of course relieved her day went well, and that her teacher validated my feelings of my little Syd being a busy gal.
Another fun thing to document . . . the fun Si and I are having. It was so great to hit the grocery store with just him (and not have to push the obnoxious car cart around the store). I plopped him into the regular cart and we proceeded to giggle all over the store. After checking out we went to take a ride on "Felix" (the horse outside of Fred Meyer). Neither Sydney and Simon realize that this is a horse that moves once a quarter is placed in it. They believe that they start out in the paddock and then hear the trumpet announce them as the first horse in the Fred Meyer Derby. I proceed to call the horse race and they of course win. This was Simon's first time riding solo--he did just great!
He misses his sister like no other. He walks around the house saying "Sidddney" and his searches are always fruitless. He is much more clingy without her around. Which to be honest I find kind of fun. It's nice to cuddle with the little guy and get him giggling. I tell ya, this preschool gig is SWEET!
Now some of you have asked about my menopausal ovens. They were replaced. I would love to produce a picture for you of the newbie, but alas another item in our house has decided to call it quits. I think that means Drew gets to go shopping . . . his favorite.
I got a self-cleaning ceramic top off of Craigslist for a nice price. It's working great and baked up three of the most BEAUTIFUL loaves of banana bread I have ever seen. Drew honored me by saying slices of them were "little pieces of heaven"--gee thanks babe!
Things are good, life is good--so blessed.

Yeah! I can't wait to see the new oven...you should name it.
And I am happy that Syd loves school and You and Si are enjoying some one-on-one time!
Good to hear!

Sounds like you are loving your new schedule. I am glad Syd is loving it and you get to spend time with Si. Happy camera-hunting;)
That horse sounds fun. I'll have to give it a whirl.
So excited for you!We can't wait to see you... what is the count down???
Fun times! You definitely need to get yourself a new camera! I carry mine wherever I go...which is why I have over 1500 pictures of my boys and they're only 7 1/2 months old! Preschool is a loooong way off for me!! :)
The first time at the grocery store with only one child is the BEST!!! Glad that Syd is loving school. Sounds like all is well.
Hey there, Andrea! It was great to find your blog and read about how things are going with your family! We miss you guys.
brady and I both got called to work in the nursery...I was kind of scared but it's been lots of fun. The kids are precious, although too young at this point to be as hilarious as the primary kids were.
Hope things are going well and it will be fun to stay in touch this way!
Wahoo Syd, wahoo new oven, wahoo new camera for the Hill crew!
Isn't preschool the best. It's just so much fun. Syd, I'm sure loves it. You love it and Si will certainly love the one on one time. It's just great all around.
Looking forward to seeing pictures soon...
Glad that Sydney and mama are loving preschool! Blake is becoming extra-clingy lately (I think he senses the baby is coming), but is doing better with preschool every time. Is Syd so-sick of nursery or what?! Blake is going crazy and can't wait to get out. We are down to bribing him to go each week, to which his usual response is "But mom, there are BABIES in nursery." The truth, no doubt. Only four months to go!
