It's the most wonderful time of the year!

I really do love Christmastime, but if I had to pick another holiday that was my favorite--it would probably be Halloween! I love it. I am sure some of you are surprised I am not saying Thanksgiving because you know of my unceasing love of food. But really, I enjoy this time of year so very much!

I am fond of the fall decorations, the colors, the costumes, the candy (particularly chocolate with peanut butter or caramel), the sugar cookies, and of course the pumpkins. Don't worry, it's not an obsession with the occult--just the fun fallish things.

Ten years ago I actually found a diamond ring inside of a pumpkin I was carving on Halloween (what a tricky, handsome devil I was dating). Needless to say, pumpkin carving is always a BIG deal around here! We are super excited because we will get to do some pumpkin carving with cousins Bailey and Davis (in Las Vegas) this year--what a TREAT!

Happy Halloween from the Hills! Our celebration has clearly begun!

*Pictures are from October 2006--and no Drew's costume was not a doctor--he came straight from work. I've always thought on Halloween you get to be someone different--although last year I was a witch . . .

Andrea, Do you know how funny you are? when I first met you I thought you were too mature to be funny and all I had to do was to talk to you to find out you always make smile/laugh.
Thanks :-)

Hey Andrea - I love these pictures! We're late getting into the Halloween spirit but this helped :) We must not have seen you at trunk or treat last year because I don't remember seeing those cute costumes! I would never have thought you'd go as a witch! However I was a witch as a kid for a few Halloweens for obvious reasons. Other times I was told I should be Lucy from Charlie Brown or Snow White! Happy Hallo-weening!

I actually thought of you guys when I saw pumpkins at the store last week, and thinking, was that really ten years ago!? We broke out the decorations this weekend, and I agree that fall is fabulous!

So fun! I love Halloween too! I've had decorations up for a week or so now--and I changed my blog header to reflect the season. David is going to be a monkey and Ethan a tiger, so Alan and I are going as zoo keepers:) Happy Halloween!!!

What should I be this year? How big is the Pea in a pod costume? Would it fit J.D.?

Andrea, did you make the pregnant skeleton costume? Or did you buy it? I would love to see a photo if you have one. I am looking for ideas.

haha, great pictures!! I do love dressing up, I just never know what to be and then usually am too lazy to make a cool costume. Oh well. Enjoy!!!

Tanner should join you guys. He has started pretending every day is Halloween. He rings the door bell, says "trick-or-treat" and expects candy. By the time Halloween actually gets here, It won't be fun anymore.
