Something to Smile About

Today I hosted a Moms' Group at my house. I had planned to read a few Valentine's-themed books, sing some songs about love and then let the kids play while the moms talk. Everything happened beautifully!

I got out some snacks and the kids had fun chowing--then one thing led to another and the snacks turned to lunch for the kids and I had stuff on hand to make my favorite salad of the moment (pear, Gorgonzola, dried cherries, field greens or romaine, toasted pecans and balsamic dressing). It was so fun to have lunch with friends and the best part was--I was so not stressed about it. The spontaneity of it all allowed for overlooking any inadequacies that occurred (i.e. slightly burned pecans).

I am sitting back looking at the day thinking, I should have stuff on hand for girlfriend lunches more often.

Just something to smile about . . .

Good for you, sounds like a nice day! The low stress must be because you are turning 30 this year and just don't care (wink)!! Random thought, but I've been thinking about 30 lately...good year!

I am sorry to have missed it! I've made that salad a few times and it's almost like dessert. YUMMY! I have been on a huge salad kick lately and your post sent me over the top.

Good Job Andrea! Excellent stress avoidance.

And by the way, I did not think to compare you to JG on Juno. Not sure you are quite that intense.

I don't know when I'm coming up. Probably sometime in Feb. We'll chat soon.
