Cousins!

So S has a friend at preschool who asks her to come over for a sleepover quite regularly. I am not a BIG fan of sleepovers (my issues with them could take up a post of their own, not to mention S is 4!), and so I have responded to S with, "you have sleepovers with your cousins and playdates with friends."

I thought this would solve the issue . . .

Today when I picked up S she informed me that Jane no longer wanted to be her friend, but that she had now "made up her mind" to become her cousin. I laughed for a sec and then realized WHY this new "relationship" would be so important to the two of them---very SNEAKY!!!!

I am scared for the teenage years--this little girl of mine is CLEVER!

p.s. the weather outside is FRIGHTFUL! We have snow sticking to the ground (weird!)

I saw the snow falling on Friday and it was pretty to see it fall. Great story by the way.

Clever, indeed! Those Hill-family-apples don't fall too far from te tree. (By the way I'm no fan of sleepovers.)

Hello! I'm so excited I found you blog! Your family is just beautiful. I've had fun reading back about what has been going on with your family.

Aren't little girls fun!? Mine is harder than all 3 of my boys put together. lol

I hope we can catch up a bit!

I bet you are wondering what elementary school will be like! She will be so popular with all the kids, I just know it! I'm pretty much anti-sleepovers too but I know it's inevitable. I think we'll just be careful about who/what/where/when. I love the "only with cousins" thing - that's genius!

Isn't it crazy how clever kids are and at such a young age.

Hilarious! Don't you love watching the wheels turning, even if they devise a sneaky little plan. :)
