Neener Neener Neener!

Yeah, so I am pretty much feeling like the only way to feel good about being the BIG 3-0 is to stick my tongue out at all of you who are not yet as OLD as me. Honestly--I'm feeling it and it stinks. I remember when D turned 30 and was freaking out--I thought it was ridiculous. Now I totally get it.

Today D and I went shopping and while driving downtown got into a total road rage incident with a CRAZY woman on her cell! Later while telling our "nanny-mother's helper-niece" about it D mentioned that CRAZY woman was an "older" lady--in her 30s!!! I wanted to cry.

Then, tonight at an Enrichment class on skin care and make-up (it was very fun by the way) a presenter was talking about skin changes as we age. She discussed the GLORIOUSNESS of the 20s and then said, from the 30s on there would be CRAP to deal with. I am NOW in that category!

No need to worry though--I am not going to carry on with this pity party. I really have lived a beautiful life and the years that I can remember have been filled with lots of learning and love.

Here's to being 30!

I'll join your 30's pity party, where I can tell my metabolism is slower...things aren't exactly where they used to be, and what is with the night sweats and peach fuzz??? Just a few things to look forward to, now that you ARE officially 30...miss A!! I did hear something about the 'dirty 30's', but this is a family blog, so I will refrain.

Okay the best line in this post is "the years I can remember" hahaha! I'm 30 in July. If it's any comfort, if I tell someone who is in their 40s or older about how I'm almost 30 and feeling older they give me such a dirty look that I feel completely rebuked. We are still YOUNG to the rest of the world. I look forward to being respected more as I get older rather than being treated like I know nothing because I'm so young.

I'll be joining you in two years and I have to say, I can't wait. Then when people tell me I look like a teenager, or that I look like I'm way too young to have kids, I can say indignantly, "I'm 30 years old, thank you very MUCH!" I have learned and changed a ton during my 20's, but I wouldn't relive them for the world...I say bring on the decade of being comfortable in your own skin, having your body back from nursing and pregnancy, and one or two wrinkles to give you a little credibility. Of course, in two years, I'm sure I'll be crying about it on my blog:). Happy Birthday!

You are funny - I kind of love being 30! 30 is definitely the new 20. Maybe I'm weird. At first I didn't like to say that I was 30, but now I don't mind it. Enjoy and happy belated birthday!!

I am totally having a pity party over here, too. And being 33 weeks prego isn't helping my body!!! My neighbor said you can count your birthdays backwards from here, so next year we will be 29:)

Happy Birthday! I still have one more year so I take it I should enjoy and relish every moment in being 29!

Even with your tongue out I can tell you haven't aged a bit! As beautiful as ever.

I get to turn the big 30 in 2 weeks. I'm actually looking forward to it since people who see me with 4 kids think I started having when I was like 12! lol

Happy belated Birthday!

Sigh, some things we just can't stop from happening, right? it is a little freaky to age, to see your body just...widen. Well at least there is always a friend around to help us ignore the wrinkles...Did you run your race? I've been thinking about you and hoping your little fracture is ok. Let me know how it goes (or how it went!) congrats to Drew and all of you!

So, I have been 30 for a few months now, and it isn't so bad. Really. I agree with kamilah. I think 30 is the new 20! We are older and more mature and still look hot!!!
