Trying to gain weight

Our kids have this amazing ability to linger around the -3% for growth. At Simon's most recent check up the pediatrician wanted to make sure that he was receiving half and half instead of whole milk. So, needless to say, we attempt to make every bite count for these two.

In addition to the half and half, ice cream cones have become a regular snack. This takes a bit of adjustment for the dietitian mom--but, hey I need kids who grow!

Here are some pictures of a trip to Georgetown. We grabbed cones and figured that Simon would just take a lick or two. I therefore picked "Mayan Chocolate" from Haagen Dazs in hopes that Drew and I would enjoy the majority of it. Oh no, the kid took this cone and was not giving it up! We got so many laughs and "oh, that is precious" comments from those passing by.

That's too cute! Was Simon's shirt brown before the ice cream or only after? :) Glad I found your blog! Thanks for commenting on mine. We miss you guys! What a fun long vacation you're on!!!
