Four years ago Andrew had 1 1/2 cords of wood delivered to our house. He chopped and stacked wood with his dad all throughout his childhood and with our new home and a fireplace he was pretty excited!! He chopped and chopped and chopped. I even chopped with my prego belly--I was incredibly helpful let me tell you.
Anyways this weekend we stacked the remaining wood on our back deck so that it was easily accessible for fall and winter fires. Andrew made one yesterday and the kids just loved it. We were so cozy until I woke up this morning and our house smells like CAMPFIRE! I love campfires when I am camping--not when I am in my home. Ahh! So today, the logs on the fire are filling me with the desire to open every window and get some air into this place. I am hopeful it was just some wacko log that did this!! And just in case you were thinking you know the answer to my problem . . . the damper door was open.
Stay tuned--Andrew's pictures from Halloween will soon be posted!!

it is about time you posted...that is too funny about your logs...I too hate the smell of campfire on everything! you might recall greg blowing up our microwave with burnt kettlecorn...I headed to the Body shop for some special smelling oils to get that smell out!!
